Tragically Beautiful Poetics

Vanessa Reuter is a moving-image artist, photographer and video editor. Through digital and analogue materials her films are an attempt to open dialogue about human relationships in the modern world. Her photographs seek to explore the everyday poetry of constructions, art, human uniqueness and nature. Through memories and hidden identities, she intends to create an intimate and truthful relationship with the audience. Having received her BFA from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and her MFA from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, she currently works as an independent video editor, videographer and photographer in Milwaukee.
